Do you have your CrossFit Journal subscription lined up yet? Have you looked through it? Today’s video is another small taste of a great video available on the Journal. Loading the Hips in a Kettle Bell Swing is exactly the same as loading your hips in the beginning of the squat. Obviously you don’t go down as far, but the movement is the same. Why is it important? It protects your lower back, generates the power necessary to create a swing, and conserves energy. When you do heavy kettle bell swings, this is the only way you can do them.
