Michael Brady

Mike began his career as a coach when he was a student at Northwestern University. During that time he was working in the Emergency Department at a Chicago hospital, while studying for a career in medicine and going to CrossFit classes whenever possible. He quickly saw the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in the local community and decided to seek a career in wellness, where prevention allowed people to truly live, not just simply be alive.

Prior to attending Northwestern, Mike served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an Anti-armor Assaultman and later as Chief Scout Sniper at 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines, based at MCB Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Mike proudly deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving in Fallujah and Ramadi.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Psychology and Biological Sciences, he went on to earn his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Applied Exercise Physiology at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

On weekends Mike travels with the CrossFit Headquarters Seminar Staff, teaching the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course. He takes great pride in the responsibility of teaching new trainers how to properly implement CrossFit methodology and sharing his passion with others.”
